KRU @ KARMA-Hartamas

Recently I had the best time with my Vijay in KL recently and although it was only a short 19 hour stay (coz I was working) We had the best time ever. Planning the whole day and eating all the food that I've missed and most importantly spending the whole day with my cutie pie poochie. I bought her food cat food from all the destinations that I visited because I miss her all the time...Anyways, what was supposed to be Vijay's day off turned out to be a day filled with suprises, he had to work lah! Ishk. I mean I know he wanted to spend the whole two days with me but then again something came up so we had to go to Karma so he can go and kerja. (work)
To my suprise at 4 in the evening Karma was filled with technicians and banners with the word KRU on them. So I asked si VJ la what was going on then he simply said that oh KRU ba the local artist are having a press conference to promote their new film "Cicak Man" (Lizard Man) as in Superman slash Spiderman. I have no idea what the movie is about (even though I had the opportunity to watch the 30 second trailer).
Trus sia pun yang WOW...KRU in Karma oh...Good job Darling! Then of course I was exited and trus smsed Joyce ba about it. Hehe. I reminded her of how lame I was years ago when I was so into them. She said she still had the pictures of me and Norman...Punyamain L-A-M-E!
When they arrived, I really wanted to take pictures and be all fan-like. Tapikan, they were sumbung and arrogant. I even heard Yusry yell at his technician and Norman didn't look like he was happy. Or maybe they all were having a bad day or were nervous. I dunno la. But it was then it hit me! They are just normal human beings and I don't know what the big fuss is all about la. So I decided to take pictures of the crowd and the ambiance and I even met my cousin Lindsay Ligadu bah. She was the Head of Bussiness Development and I have pictures of me and her together...I just have to figure out where the USB inlet is ere on this laptop.
bah OK la I have to go out with my friend Shalina to the Mall of Emirates. Haven't hung out with my bieatch for ages! BRB...

The Perfect Bed For Lynn

Lynn's Perfect Bed
It's Official!
I have found the perfect, most comfortable bed ever and guess what? Its all the way in London!
Guys, after all the travelling and different hotels I've stayed at, finally, finally I found my favourite bed.
The deluxe rooms in Sheraton Skyline London Heathrow have the nicest king sized beds that will definitely blow your mind!
Its PUUUURRRFECT!
I can tell you that it was beautiful! There were 7 pillows too!
(white, crisp and clean - just the way I like it!)
hmmm so nice... I'd do that flight again just to sleep in that bed!
Ok la, I am goin to bed now...sleepy already...

Sydney With Min-Kyoung Jung

Herro...
I forgot that I had new pictures to show to you... These are taken in Sydney, Australia when I did a trip there recently I think it was on the 14th-17th of March 2006 (Thats when I had the nicest crew)
Fortunately for me, my flatmate, Min (From South Korea) was rostered on a different trip, but she was there on the day that I was there. Both of us planned to go to Star City Casino when we were in Dubai and although it took us ages to get there (not to mention the long walk!) we had a great time.
No one won but the experience was wonderful!
Punya banyak urang cina/korea/jipun main judi situ...
You could even bet on the live football matches as they have like at least 5-6 large screens showing different matches and races. The casino is very clean and fancy. Tidak boleh merokok oh there so it was nice.
In the beginning of our outing, I was a complete party pooper because the night before that I had some really bad oysters at the hotel that we were staying at and I guess you know what happens when you eat "bad" oysters. I suffered the first few hours and had a pounding headache, but because of my flatmate (who really really took care of me-being careful of what I ate and drank that day) I was ok. She made sure that I took my medication oh! By late afternoon I was as fit as a fiddle! Thanks Min (again)
Min...
Min & Me (see my face-pucats oh kan)
If you can see slightly, behind me is Sydney's famous opera house
This is a picture of us again next to one of the many uniquely painted Unicef bears facing the Opera house. (I am not really sure what the purpose of them being displayed there)
The person who took our picture, didn't take the picture of the bears head oh..so roughly la I can explain that there were probably 25-30 bears lined up and all of them were painted in different colours and even had the flags of certain countries.
All in all I had so much fun and was very happy that I spent the day with her.
Bagus oh dia...
On a different note, I just got back from London Heathrow and I am a little bit tired but I just wanted to post a few pictures for you guys so enchoy...

Productive Day

Hi people (and Mum)
Today I was a really good girl, I woke up very early and excersized.
Woo-hoo!!!
After a long time I finally decided to make use of my 2 year old "new" gym clothes and shoes.
Man I am so proud of myself. I had a 20 mins Pilates workout session in my living room, went out to run some errands and pay some bills..and then later in the evening worked out at the gymfor an hour.
(What? twice today?!)
Yeah thats right people...even VJ pun takajut/proud.
Anyways, I am just about to take a nap before my flight tomorrow early morning and I am looking forward to this flight because I havn't gone to this destination for a month. Yay, can go and shop at Primark...(This cheap shop that all the crew go to) Can find so many things there yang murah. Will be back on the 24th so stay tuned and have a blessed two days without me in cyberspace.
Wish me luck so that I manang the UK jackpot!

Goodbye Uncle Roland

Life is short.
When I woke up this morning I was really sad to find out that an uncle of mine passed away in his sleep. My sister SMS-ed me to inform me of the sad news. It did freak me out a little bit when I spoke to my mum earlier that he didn't even get the chance to see his children grow up. She also said that according to the post mortem, his lungs were filled with water and but he was healthy and had no known disease. He passed away at a very young age.
At least he didn't suffer she said.He probably didn't even know that he was going to die.
My mum said he looked so peaceful, just as if he was sleeping.
He is my mother's 1st cousin. His mother and my grandmother were sisters.
In fact the day before (yesterday) was the full moom date of his second child. According to my sister,my uncle sempat lagi wake up in the middle of the night to make a bottle of milk for his two year old child. The best part is he actually took a whole month leave to be with his wife during her confinement.
I remember him as being one of the nice uncles-who would stop in the middle of the road to greet and hug you no matter what and would always be happy to see you. My mum was very upset when I asked her about it and also mentioned that there were a lot of his students, friends and all of our relatives at his house in the morning. Every one cried, everyone was sad.
I am still upset and shocked.
May He Rest In Peace

Weido's

Ok Ok I must must mengaku (that means Admit Tim) that I have tried ever so much to avoid this topic about people getting on my nerves during a flight. I mean it could be either passengers or crews. Anyways, the trip that I had recently was one of the best/worst trip. I had a good trip and made new friends, crew and passengers.50% excellent and the other 50% the other extreme...malas, gatals, cakap pasal obscene stuff balik balik, kasih malu other people's accent/way of life. ishk... I know that its always good to have a balance tapi kan...bikin maradang betul oh.(That means its really annoying oh) Ishk. Some people are just lazy and rude (kurang ajar) and sometimes I do feel like screaming at them or throwing something at them. Like a shoe or a tray to get them off their butts. Ok thats my limit. 5 mins of whining and letting go per day.
I'm sleepy again.....ZzzzzzZzzz

Dedicated To Jonathan A. Siambun

It's been a year since we've all lost Oton.
I won't say much because when he was alive he truly lived life to the fullest.
He was kind, genuine, hard working and always cracked people up with his silly jokes and immitations.
A truly good son, brother, cousin, uncle and most importantly a good friend.

And we will always remember you.
We were both thinking about him and how much he would've enjoyed all the "chicks" in Manila. Well him & Lut that is...hehe
I'll be working again for a week which means that I wont be able to update my blog, I will post more pictures and talk about my trip to Manila, but my best friend Joyce pretty much covered almost everything that happened during our trip. I have more pictures to post and stories to tell but I decided to dedicate my blog today for my best friend's brother, The Late Mr. Jonathan Aman Siambun.

Fun Time in Manila, Makati City with Joyce

These are the some of the pictures of Joyce and I in Manila. We were walking around in this shopping mall called Greenbelt 1 on the 6th of March after a wonderful dinner in Masas, and we stumbled upon this restaurant called Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Out side the restaurant was the bench in the Forrest Gump Movie together with Forrest's worn out shoes and his box of chocolates. Now I know that the pictures are out of order but my laptop decided to bail out on me so terpaksa la I post it thru my flatmate's laptop and most of the writing is Korean so I cant really read anything because she went to London, but she was kind enough to leave it at home for me..hehe..stay tuned. More pics to come...

Little Copy Cat

BEFORE
This is a picture of Christian (and half of his mummy - my friend Celine holding him) and my nephew Tom Tom sitting down queitly during Christian's one year birthday party.
It doesnt look like it but Christian is crying...
(Notice how Tom just minding his own business acting like nothing is bothering him)

AFTER

This is what I mean by being a copy cat... for no reason he just started crying. I guess he just wanted to make Christian feel better about the situation. Is that absolute cuteness or what! awwww...

Tom Tom

This is my cute and handsome nephew Thomas James Slade.
I had a chat online (on MSN) with him earlier today together with my sister and mum.
After a long time being away from home, I felt like I was at "Home"
I think it was a good 1 and a half hours that I spent chatting with all of them.
God Bless the inventors of Video-conferencing.
