"Ramadan Month"

First of all I want to wish everyone Ramadan Kareem.
I personally have a lot of friends whom are fasting and celebrating Eid Mubarak.
So that means that I roughly know that you are supposed to be in good spirits, good behavior, and most of all thinking of repenting and being thankful to God for being alive.
Now being very respective towards that I really so admire them for being able to fast the entire month.
(Just like us, during LENT)
Ok enough beating around the bush. Let me be straight. I was and still am very angry with those policemen out there whom stopped me and my husband on the way home last night. The reason they stopped us is because they wanted some money Period.
Ever heard of the term"Kopi Cash""Duit Raya""Settle" ? Well in KL it's a norm. ..
We weren't even in our car, we were in a freaking TAXI. Yes you heard me. A taxi. We weren't even drunk/drunk driving. Can you imagine how pissed off I was.
SO MUCH FOR VISIT MALAYSIA 2007. I mean WTF.I hate those sons of biatches who drive around in their patrol cars stopping every single person whom they can get money from.
They don't only look for big luxury cars, they also take money from the average bartender or waiters and even the girls selling cigars. Didn't the government just hike up their wages? I mean you just can't win with these people. The more people have the authority, the more they take advantage of what is not theirs.
I cannot change the world or how it thinks but this is just ridiculous. How do they sleep at night? Let me tell you how. With the average pay of RM1000-1500 per month, these rats are sleeping comfortably in their huge 5 bed bungalows with 3 luxury cars parked in their driveways. Is that fair? I think not.
Basically I'm not in favour with corruption, threatening to put you in prison, rape foreigners kind of cops.
I mean my dad was a cop. Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of policemen out there who are very honest.
So thats all I have to let off my chest. Damn Pissed off man.

Vijay

Chasing Cars~By Snow Patrol

We'll do it all

Everything

On our own

We don't need Anything

Or anyone

If I lay here

If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know

How to say

How I feel

Those three words

Are said too much

They're not enough

If I lay here

If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told

Before we get too old

Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time Chasing cars

Around our heads

I need your grace

To remind me To find my own

If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told

Before we get too old

Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am

All that I ever was

Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where

Confused about how as well

Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I had the chace to meet up with my sister and stay at her place for a night and I had so much fun. I went shopping in Ikea, this place called Hua Lian, Lido and Carrefour.
It was nice to meet up with her even though she was in a rush...

Ernest & Lara

Very recently I went back to Kuala Lumpur to attend my friends wedding.
Unfortunately, the very silly Mrs. Vijay forgot to bring her camera.
So I only have this almost a year old picture of the newlyweds and us. It was a nice wedding ceremony held in a Surau in Bangsar and also in Selangor Club on the 1st & 2nd of September.
Congratulations to the couple!

Indonesia

Hi again all. I know I have been missing and havn't been telling you much these days.
It's just that I am going through some things in my life which is too hard for me to mention.
There will always be a solution to any problem, and this is what I am counting on.
FAITH=Husband. He is all I've got and so far he is the one person whom has not let me down.
Anyways, enough about me, I'll be ok. It's just that it has to get worse to get better.
Let me tell you about what I've been up to.
Do you remember my last update when I was still on standby? Well, I was pulled out to operate a flight to Jakarta.
I fell in love with the place (again)!
The food is absolutely delicious ~ Nasi Padang is a must! I blogged about this a year ago when my hubby was there with me and his friend brought us around to check out the local scence.
Anyways.
Reasons why I likey Indonesia
#1 The Food - So many things to eat! Just like Malaysia but with a little bit of extra kick with the spices. Yummy Yummy Yummy!
#2 The People- Since I speak Malay (Sabah Malay) it is so nice to go out on my own and be able to speak to people with my Sabahan slang and not being asked to repeat myself. They are nicer when they find out that you are Malaysian. It's so funny!
#3 The Music - The quality of the local bands/singers are so good it's no wonder some of the (smart) Malaysian artists like my fav Jazz Queen Sheila Majid turned to Indonesian composers & musicians. They really know how to capture the essence of the lyrics. I don't listen to Malay songs but since listening to most of the Indonesian singers, I am totally a fan of Indonesian bands.
I now listen to Peter Pan, Samsons, Ungu, Letto, Glen Fadley, Matta, Sheila on 7 and many more. I love the melody, the singers, their voices, and especially the lyrics. Whoever can't understand Malay ~ I feel sorry for you.
#4 Fashion - I am normally very picky with my clothes and go for comfort more than brands. My casual wear is very important to me as I very rarely dress up unless there is a special occasion. So I usually take a long time to choose my casual wear but during my recent stay, it took me less than half an hour to find things I like in Jakarta. It's not only the casual wear, it's everything...The women and men in Indonesia are really up to date when it comes to fashion sense. They are way ahead of us (Malaysians) as they are well groomed. My husband said it depends on which part of the city you go to and I agree with him, but they are all stylish and I love it.
#5 The Restaurants - The restaurants in Jakarta are top notch. Every lay out, every table, every single little detail is thought of and I must say I am impressed.
#6 The Clubbing Scene - If you think KL is hip and happening, You haven't seen Jakarta. I have nothing but praises. U have to go there to experience it. Awesome.
#7 Shopping - It's very decently priced. And you can get very good bargains when the sale is on. It's kind of like half of half of the sale price during the Malaysian Mega Sales. Need I say more?
#8 The Language - I love love love the sound of the language! It's so soft and proper. And it reminds me of when my hubby was trying to win me over. When I was comfortable enough to speak to him in my Sabahan slang, he started talking to me with the Indonesian slang! Bagus Skali Dong! So seeing as I am a happily married woman, it worked out!
Thats about all I can remember and there are a lot more but right now I have to go back to my Micheal Scoffield ~ Prison Break, Season 2. The second most important thing that I have to do today.
Haha. Don't worry the first thing for me every second and every day is Vijay Sundram & Poochiekat.
