11 yr old

I miss my cat more and more everyday!
This kitty sleeps very comfortably and is so lucky because she has the whole house to herself and as you can see, she is quite fleshy and is about 5-6 kilos depending on what she does for the day. I spent the whole day at home once and she didnt even go out to go poop!
She can just hybernate in the room and sometimes I get worried when she doesnt drink any water... One thing that I love about her is that she always answers when you call her. When VJ marah her, she'll curl up and bows down minta kesian...she's so obedient that she will wait till VJ says its OK to even move a muscle. As adorable as she looks I really kasian her. I'll take a picture of her when I go back to KL then I'll post it then you'll be able to see what I mean...Ok la I think I've updated my blog too many times in two days..I'm so sleepy la now. Gdnite

I had to blog about this!

Herro People
I just finished watching Oprah and on todays show Charlize Theron was her guest... Charlize Theron is one of my fav actress. She's one of the few women who can pull off the boyish haircut look.. anyways before Oprah I saw 'The Insider' (its a 30 mins show about celebrity gossips etc..) and there was a segment about Brad & Angelina. I must say that nothing makes me more furious then seeing them trying to hide the fact that they are together. I mean kalau sama2 just admit it la. I am on Jennifer's team...(coz I absolutely love her!) Who's with me? Go TEAM ANISTON!

All I Want For Christmas

I want to be with him this Christmas but I cant coz I have a flight before and after So I really hope I strike the lottery so I can quit and be with him!

Burj Al Arab

I dont think I've ever blogged about my life in Dubai or shown you pictures of the beautiful things here. That is the only 7 star hotel in the world. I havent been there but coz theres a charge just to get into the hotel. This particular picture was taken by VJ while we were at Dubai's Water Theme Park called Wild Wadi. The Burj Al Arab have butlers for each and every room. The butlers are fully trained and have years of experience and if you ask me, I think they are very lucky to work at Burj Al Arab coz man can you imagine the amount of tips and gifts they receive from all the guests..

I watched a documentary about this amazing hotel and apparently in front of the hotel there is this water fountain that has all the feng shui elements. On the tip of the fountain is some fire. When we were on the bus I think someone mentioned that at a certain angle, a shape of a cross is seen at the back of the hotel, and the architect (who is an Australian) was banned from the country. I really dont know how true that is... Will tell you more soon.. XOXO

Dusseldorf, Germany

Herro...I'm Back From My Short Trip To Beautiful Dusseldorf...
I must must tell you about my trip. I had the most amazing time ever! It was snowing!!! The temperature was minus 2 degrees but me & my friend Emilie (from Singapore) still went out to the little city next to the infamous Rhein River. We both didnt know that we were goin for the flight but before I left my house, I checked the crew rostered for the flight and was so exited to see her name I texted her to bring her winter clothes so that we could go out.
The first thing we did when we arrived was got dressed borrowed an umbrella and bravely ventured out while most of the crew went to bed. I hadnt brought my winter boots because I just assumed that it would be just a little bit cold. So LUCKY for me I brought extra socks and had to wear them with my flats. At the beggining I didnt feel cold, but as soon as I stepped out, I couldnt feel my right foot! ( I was so afraid I'd get frostbite...hehehe) anyway, so Emilie who had her trainers on got them wet and soon also couldnt feel her feet. We both still walked for a bit trying to push ourselves and LUCKILY we found a really nice cheap shop that we accidently stumbled upon and we both bought a pair of boots each (15 Euros) so murah. Since it was Christmas, almost everything was on sale...so we got out booties and got into them as soon as we stepped out of the shop, I gotta tell ya, they were really comfy and they looked cute too. The ends of the shoe laces had little fuzzy balls. Once I get my camera back from VJ, I'll take some pictures of them to show to you.
Ok Ok back to my trip. While we were waiting for the tram, the snow was still blowing into our faces and while trying to keep our faces dry we noticed the shape of the snowflakes. It is exactly the way it looks in Christmas cards and all the decorations! Each and every snowflake is UNIQUE and so beautiful Emilie & I still couldnt get over the fact that the snowflakes were amazingly beautiful! I've seen snow before, but I never realised their uniqueness till recently! I really love the way the snow falls and how they look on trees and it was then that I realised that I was so grateful to be where I was. (Thats The Emotional Hormones Talking!)
We had a really good time walking about and also had the best German 9-inch Sausage ever. It was one massive Sausage but it was really really worth it! The Sausage came with a little piece of bread and there was mustard and ketchup on the side if you wanted it. Besides that we had a very hot crepe filled with nutella accompanied with a crispy wafer. You know what, it was so cold that day the food tasted even better...
About the city:
Imagine this, a whole street filled with mini stalls selling Chrismas ornaments, Cookies, Gifts, etc...It was like a carnival there were about four or five areas that we stumbled upon that had these stalls set up and the best part is that it REALLY felt like Christmas!!! One of the stalls that caught my eye was the stall selling hot coffee, hot chocolate & eggnog! Real eggnog! The stalls had their own signature cups: snowmen, santa's boots and while I can only regret not trying the eggnog, I really enjoyed being apart of the "crowd" hehe
There was also a live band singing Christmas songs and everyone gathered around them while enjoying everyones company. There was an Ice Skating area & a giant Christmas tree right smack in the middle of the city and I really felt like I was in a movie. Sure I was far away from home, and sure I didnt have my sweetheart with me, but I had Emilie and its always a good time when you have good company.
Whenever I saw a couple kissing or hugging I'd secretly say to myself 'man if only VJ was ere...' but being in denial & Jealous, I said "My Gosh, Get A Room!!" haha.
So, to sum it all up I really had a great time and Oh I also received a compliment letter from a passenger (woohoo)
I'll post the pictures when Emilie emails me them to me. So till then, Happy Christmas Every ONE!

Interesting Facts About Koala's

Koalas aren't bears. They aren't even related to bears. The koala is related to the kangaroo and the wombat. The koala is a mammal. The reason the koala is called a koala bear is because the koala looks like a teddy bear. The koala's scientific name is Phasclarctos cinereus.
Now there are only 2,000 to 8,000 koalas in the wild! Although not officially classified as endangered, the population of Australian koalas has dropped by 90% in less than a decade!
This is due to the destruction of the koala's natural habitat, a narrow crescent on the eastern coast of Australia. Logging, agriculture and urban development have not only reduced the area available to them, but added other dangers. The koala's habitat has been criss-crossed by roads, resulting in many road kills and attacks by neighboring pet dogs are frequent. Disease, too, has taken its toll on the koala...

Subject: Five surprising reasons men are happy in a relationship

Five surprising reasons men are happy in a relationship by Bonnie Yuill.Don't be fooled by the male ego. Men look for more in a relationship than an attractive women who will cook him a good meal and wash his clothes every once in a while. What he really needs is your admiration.

He needs to communicate with you > A lot of men need to be in a relationship more than women do. Surprising? Not really, when you think about it. Women usually have close relationships with their friends. They talk about health problems until they feel better. But men don't. As Helen Fielding's character, Bridget Jones, says, 'Women have emotions and men have football.' Men are competitive and so, in general, they rarely share their emotions or problems with each other, as they think it makes them look too weak. When he needs to open up and talk about his feelings, guess who he eventually shows his vulnerable side to? You!

He wants to be your hero > Knowing that he can make someone else happy makes him feel good inside, because he has the power to change things. And what bloke doesn't secretly want power of some sort? At least if he can't always be top dog at work, he can be a star at home. Instinctively, he aspires to be Spider-Man or Superman > -> to be your hero, to be able to make things right: to be appreciated, to be someone's knight in shining armour. So when you are disappointed or unhappy, he feels responsible. What matters is that you are happy and then he's got one less thing to worry about. Strange but true.

He strives to make you happy > The number one reason men leave relationships is because they feel as though they can't meet their partner's needs. This makes them feel inadequate, and it makes them feel as though there's no way their partner can feel respect for them. For women, communication seems to be the top priority in keeping the relationship going but, quite honestly, men don't understand this constant need to talk about things over and over.
For men, the relationship is a success if they feel respected and if they make their partner happy. This is why a new conquest is exactly that he feels as though he is in charge he is once again someone's knight in shining armour. If you resent him because you feel overworked and under-appreciated, stop doing so much you are probably destroying your relationship! He doesn't want to feel responsible for you rushing around, worn into the carpet, and most men really don't notice whether the housework has been done or not. What they want is respect and appreciation. 'All we really want from women,' a (male) friend recently told me, 'is for you to smile at us.' (And probably one other thing, if he thought about it for longer than a millisecond.)

Sex makes him feel loved > Sex has the same effect on men as romance does on women. So the reverse is also true: no sex = no love, no approval, no acknowledgement. They get that same sad, unloved feeling that you get when you don't get flowers, your partner looks at other women or ignores you.

You are his (secret) reason for living > He needs you because you inspire him to do better > -> he has someone to do things for, goals to reach, a reason to go out and conquer the world. What's the point of being disgustingly rich and powerful if there's no one to share it with? What he needs is the gift of you.

Wealth

When I woke up this mornin, while fixing myself up a cup of green tea, I was watching Good Morning America and was so stunned at the news I quickly picked up the phone & actually gave Joyce a shock when I called her. I told her that there was this family who had won a jackpot of 340 million US dollars & they have decided to live the same way that they have been living. WOOHOO...talk about being decent & humble about it. Then I googled them coz I wanted to show you all their picture but as you can see it is unavailable. (Maybe its for their own welfare too) Anyway, apparently they were only getting their winnings in January... I also found out about this:

A lucky gambler in the US state of Oregon has won 340 million dollars in the US Powerball lottery.
The top prize was the second biggest in a US lottery, and there were heavy sales in the 29 states where the lottery is played, but Powerball organisers gave no details on who the winner might be.
They only said in a statement that the winning ticket was purchased somewhere in the northwestern US state of Oregon. The jackpot has been building up from 15 million dollars in mid-August.
So banyak kan the taxes. Anyways I really wish them well and blessings because it is so great for them! Isnt it wonderful to wake up in the morning to that kind of news! May their abundance create a better way of life for them & their families...
(Don't worry Yo, Joyce & Lynn - soon it'll be our turn...)

I know, I know(too much free time)...anywho..I still havent decided which one of them I like the most coz they all make me laugh..you know what I noticed? if you watch the episodes carefully, there are parts that you didnt know existed coz you were laughing bout something else. Thank You Min!

Finally after a LOT of sleep, bottles of water, heaps of Korean red ginseng Tea, loads of Chinese Erbs good food I'm glad to say that I'm OK and have fully recovered... My housemate, Min, is God sent. This morning I woke up to find a wholesome meal cooked for me prepared with luv. A message for me that read Good Morning Lynn, please eat the food, its for you. I hope you feel better soon. Drink the Ginseng and please switch off the Airconditioner. awwww...bagus oh kan. On top of that she was also nursing and caring for her other sick friend who also had a cold. Constantly checking on the both of us. She even came back and forth to make sure we both had that Chinese herb flu medication (which by the way tasted like sand) and made me eat Honey from a spoon, and drink honey with young ginger. Three sachets of (sand) after, I felt like a million bucks. BTW, she also prepared dinner served in a carefully carved pineapple shaped plate.Sadap oh her Pineapple Fried Rice..God Bless Her!!

This picture has nothing to do with 2days events...Saja only put his picture ere...

Eid Mubarak (Selamat Hari Raya in Arabic)

Selamat Hari Raya To Everyone...

Celebrated by the Muslims signifies the end of the fasting season of Ramadan for a month. The celebration is determined by sighting of the new moon. This is the most significant celebration for the Muslims. Muslims starts the day by congregating in the mosques early in the morning to perform Hari Raya Puasa prayers followed by visits to the graves of the departed.

This festive occasion is greeted with great joy, the young will ask for forgiveness from their elders and everyone will put on new clothes. Open house or invitation for relatives and friends to come to their house is practised. Plenty of traditional Malay delicacies are served during this festive season. Houses are thoroughly cleaned and decorated with the lighting of oil lamps to welcome the angels which is believed to be visiting the earth during the seven days preceding the festivall. The celebration lasts for a month which the celebration is concentrated in the first three days.
Dubai is celebrating Hari Raya for 5 days (so Public Hols for 5 days woohoo)

Anyway, I'm off to Jo'burg - South Africa tomorrow. See U here Soon.
