The Heat Is On!

Yesterday while we were landing back into Dubai, the Captain announced that the ground temperature was 42 degrees. I was thinkin I must've misheard. So I continued to do my work and totally forgot about the announcement. After my work was done I continued to pack my bags and was relieved to be heading home. As I was walking down the staircase to get to the crew bus, Oh-my-gosh! It felt like a million needles piercing my face...yeauzzaah.. It was the first day of summer...it was really hot. Last year the highest temperature recorded was 49 degrees...so I really don't wanna be ere for summer la.. The only problem that I could face is that a lot of middle eastern people leave the country to go to Malaysia for a holiday and that means that the chances of me getting on the plane is pretty slim...hmmm...what to do lah. That means I have to buy heaps of tickets as plan B...in case I can't get on the plane.

You must try this in Dubai...this is the tallest slide that I have ever ever gone on and I think I was the only monkey who screamed so loud!!! This is a slide in a water park in Dubai called Wild Wadi and the one interesting thing about this park is that they have a special womans day...If I am not mistaken it's every Thursday. Womans day meaning only women staff on duty and a only lady customers...how about that?
Of course this is the beautifu, beautiful Burj Al Arab which is the worlds 7 star hotel and all the butlers have to graduate from a butlers school in London. There is an entrance fee to get into this hotel and I really want to go and have a cup of tea there.
Now, I only said 'a cup' coz apparently a cup of tea could cost as high as RM50-60.
You even have to make a reservation to have tea there and I hear the wait list is quite a long one...

Ah...this is a beautiful view of the beach and I remember the bus tour driver mentioning that it's connected to the Persian Sea. Look at the camel...poor thing, lucky for him, this picture was taken in winter time (14-20 degrees) so at least he's relaxing while he's working...

Flashback

This was taken with a Sony Erikkson K750i in Jakarta - 2005
Judging by the looks of it, I think that picture was taken in Hard Rock Cafe while having dinner with Vijay and his friend Edwin...

Memories

This is a picture that I got from my little cousin Amanda and it did make me a little sad. It was really nice to see the picture but it brought back a lot of memories. A long time ago my family and I stayed in London when my late father was studying law. I'm not sure where or when this picture was taken, but it was definitely in London. You can't really see my dad's face, but the little girl sitting on the car is me! My dad is the gentleman behind me. Handsome isn't he? I miss him so very much. In fact 11th of April 1950 is his birthday so if he were alive today he would be 56 years old. I think I remember him saying that he had two different birthdates coz they made a mistake in his birth certificate and it was either April 11th or April 14th 1950. So technically he had two birthday's.

The little boy sitting next to me is Mozes Iking Junior a.k.a Lambigan (Yep that's right people, its bobboy) His dad also studied there and so did a few more of my dad's friends. Anyways, behind him is my mother's younger brother, Gilbert Mojinun, his wife (my auntie), Evelene Mingkong (Amanda's parents) and of course my mum, "The Legendary" Mdm. Clarice Mojinun feared by most during weddings and special occasions... (Mel, you know what I mean kan...*wink**wink*)

I can't really remember what the occasion was that day but as you can see I had a wonderful childhood, surrounded by the people who I loved. How things have changed since then. I remember thoose booties and jacket but boy am I glad that I don't have that hairstyle now! Hehehe. I miss those times. I really do.

Happy Birthday Dad, I love and really miss you

Y Lynn

Lazyness

Have you ever worked really really hard when other people are busy slacking their butts away & at the end of the day still get away with it...? I know I have and it's been a long LONG 8 days.
The problem with these long trips is that there are so many crew that you will never really see who works hard and who is lazy (Well at least the seniors dont see it) I have another long trip in 3 days time and I am really praying that everyone will do their part. That's all.
Nap time again

Sunny Sydney

Herro People
I am in Sunny Sydney and although I dont have any pictures to show to you, I am enjoying my mini holiday and did get the Thai massage that I wanted! Anyways, I cant write much today as I am with my friends here and later on for dinner we are all going to this Malaysian Restaurant for dinner..
(thats right you heard me-Malaysian Restaurant!) We flew all the way here and we are all craving for Hainanese Chicken Rice! We were walking around before and stumbled upon his restaurant that had all the Malaysia Tourism posters and I was so happy to see the Kota Kinabalu Poster right at the main entrance...there were also pictures of our traditional costumes including the baju Kadazan. WooHoo.
Okie gotta go

Busy

Yay I got my camera back from home...I have a tight schedule this month so that means that I will be taking more pictures of my trips and hopefully I'll be able to get my laptop next mth when I go home for leave.
Oh no! I just realised, this means another month that I won't be able to see my VJ...but don't you worry, the thing is time passes faster when my roster is jam-packed...take care people and I'll be back on the 10th. I might be updating my blog from the places that I will be in. So stay tuned...

My Soft Spot

As you can see from the pictures, my nephew is growing up all healthy and happily...
See lah this baby, sooooooooo cute!
Tom Tom, Auntie Lynn misses you and can't wait to see you in May!
I am so happy that my sister sent me these pictures

Overwhelmed

Sometimes I really feel like I could really do something for all my friends.
(So that they are happy)
Maybe if I have a magic potion to ensure that they find happiness in their relationships
or
have some money to take them on a trip around the world
or
own a company where we could all work together and feel satisfied and fulfilled.
Really.
I dunno whats wrong with me but today I feel overwhelmed.
You know what...?
Most of the time, people just want to hear what they want to hear...
So I think I'll just go for my "mini" holiday and get myself a Good Thai Massage
- in 3 days that is! Bangkok here I come!!!!!!
